I started at Finley shirts as an intern and once graduated, returned as Assistant Designer. Finley Shirts is a womenswear brand that offers mostly tops and dresses. They are locally designed, sampled and manufactured in Dallas. The structure is very low waste and sustainable which I admired most. The in-house team consisted of nine of us giving way to being a very close knit team. Great energy all around! We delivered product every month, end-to-end design with a six month lead time. The only imports were the fabrics.

Atelier
My responsibilities were very hands-on. I hand sketched new ideas and pulled old production to reinvent new. In back of house, I laid patterns and cut working alongside the patternmaker and sewer almost every day.

E-commerce & Marketing
After completing fits and readying ourselves for production, it was necessary for frequent photoshoots for e-commerce and marketing. I would photograph for our website and also assist with marketing shoots.

Dallas Market
Understanding the importance of selling the brand and product at Dallas Market was crucial. It instilled business growth and was a great way for boutiques to easily review the new product in person.

Production
Managing purchase orders, production, and ensuring all processes are running smoothly including fabric/trims supply was a daily responsibility.
