My senior year, I won the Eden Travel Internship Award with Zandra Rhodes for my accomplishments and future potential. The day after graduation, I flew to London for an experience of a lifetime. Stepping into Zandra's world and experiencing her passion and artistic flow was a treasure. Working overseas solidified my goal of one day working in Europe permanently.

Collaboration
We worked on the Zandra X Poppy Lissiman collaboration. Designing accessories that combined the aesthetic of both designers was a fun challenge that pushed me to research designer archives and find a balance of the two that was commercially fit.

Pen to Paper
Hand sketching was the emphasis of most days. I, of course, digitized my concepts as well. Getting the time and freedom to sketch throughout the day is rewarding in itself.

Atelier
Shadowing the patternmaker/cutter and helping sew in the studio gave me an up close and personal look into the making of the garments. It is always refreshing to see someone else's concept become actualized since everyone's process is different.

Archiving
Research and archiving Zandra's long standing successful history helped me better understand her which inevitably helped me create new products for her collaborations while staying true to her identity. It is also fascinating to look through her design time capsule.
